I’m Leela Bunce, I am a clown, actor and theatre-maker based in Glastonbury. I make meaningful, quirky, devised theatre that shines a light on untold stories, with humour and heart. I am also one half of Shoebox Theatre and very proudly Somerset-based.
With Shoebox we toured The Library of Lost Memories in 2019, a clown show about dementia and memory. We are currently making a new outdoor promenade show called A Walk on the Wild Side. I am 1/3 of UK theatre collective The Bluestocking Society, we are touring a show called Secrets of the Bluestockings, which tells the stories of trailblazing women through history. My solo clown show Waiting for Stanley toured the UK in 2015. Other credits include Prince Charming/Fairy Godmother in In Search of Cinderella (a pantomime for Somerset) 2020, the Housekeeper in immersive theatre show Sublime Boudoir (New York) and Jackleen in The Suitcase (Greenwich Theatre).
